light on the spot, reliable and accurate - opsira for signal lights

Precise luminous intensity distribution is essential for signal lights. Also, signals usually have to be optimized for ghost-light, and feature highest color fidelity. Another important topic is failure safety, which is why the main focus of the LEDs' power supply must be a long service life. opsira takes all of these aspects into account and offers valuable support for its customers. This means:

  • Realistic optical simulation and optimization: opsira lightlab provides high-quality ray data, and scattering properties (BSDF), transmission and reflection of the materials used.

  • 100 % end-of-line control: We integrate reliable high-capacity test systems in your production process.

  • Our portfolio: The opsira spectroradiometers for measuring the color fidelity, or the goniophotometer robogonio are perfectly adapted to your requirements.

Optical Engineering. Light Lab. Test Systems. opsira is your full-service provider

Optics Design

Development of optical systems from the concept over the development, the production, and test of prototypes to series production.

Light Lab

Fast and precise light measurements of your light sources, LEDs and material samples carried out in the opsira lightlabs.

Optical Measurement Systems

Custom-made measuring systems for field work. The goniophotometer robogonio for example combines near-field, extremely fast far-field, and spectral measurement in one single, highly flexible system.

Test and Control Systems

The opsira eol (end-of-line) systems enable both the control of your production process and the quality of your products while they are manufactured, robot based if required.

diffusil® Diffusers

diffusil diffusers are made of a special opaque synthetic fused silica glass (99,999% SiO2). They are designed to create an almost perfect lambertian light output over a wide wavelength range in transmission and reflection.

FAQs

How is the luminous intensity distribution measured?

The luminous intensity distribution is usually measured with goniophotometers measuring the luminous intensity in many different directions around a light source or luminaire. opsira offers a variety of different goniophotometers for almost every application. For fast measurements (e.g. in production control), non-goniophotometric systems based on high-resolution measuring cameras are used as well.

How quickly can opsira carry out a measurement of the luminous intensity distribution?

A typical measurement of a luminaire in the C-plane takes only a few minutes.
